Coming up for breath
I’ve been doing a fair bit of work on my music site too as I’m making a concerted effort to try and get back into music promotion. I’ve not been actively involved in that for almost 2 years now apart from running the site. I’d like to start putting on gigs again and perhaps even form a collective but it’s hard in Dundee. Especially when the community is so small yet everyone seems to be doing their own thing.
I’ve started watching a few TV shows too. An American colleague has introduced to me to 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Mighty Boosh. I’m not too keen on The Mighty Bush, but 30 Rock and Curb Your Enthusiasm are fantastic. I’ve got 5 series worth of Curb to catch up on though and a season of 30 Rock (I think).
I’ve got a few things planned for this year too, including a possible trek somewhere in Asia to raise money for charity in the developing world. That should be exciting but things are going a bit slow with that. We’ve not even decided what charity we’re doing it for nor which organisation we are going to do it through. Both fairly important aspects of such a venture.
Wow. I’ve neglected the blog for a while which is pretty bad. For the past couple of weeks it’s been non-stop in my life, most of which revolves around work and learning advanced AS3. Infact pretty much all the development work I’ve been doing lately is AS3 , Air and a bit of Flex. I’ve begun using Eclipse FDT plugin as well as the phpeclipse plugin which is fantastic. Infact FDT is utterly amazing. If anyone told you that coding could be a joy then you aught to believe them. Writing up a class in a matter of minutes is so satisfying especially with the way FDT help you out.

Happy New Year!! Curb Your Enthusiasm is brilliant, have you ever seen Arrested Development? It’s another corker!
The trek in asia sounds very exciting, can’t wait to hear the details.

I’ve not seen Arrested Development. I have however started to watch 30Rock which I think is good.
