Fast becoming one of my favourite places around the Glasgow area. It’s just a really amazing place to go and chill out. You hardly ever see anyone and I think if you walk from one end to the other its around 8 miles. You get a pretty amazing chance to view weather systems also. Last night to the East was a massive rain storm and to the West was the sunset, so I ended up with a group of shots, half of which look like they were taken on a different day.

It’s become one of my favourite spots just for walking and thinking. And the air is so fresh also. I’m going to try and upload replacement images tonight because they’ve come out a big dark. Although I think actually it adds to the atmosphere.

Given the weather last night I went for a dark and gloomy look. I had only my GF1, 20mm 1.7 and 14-45mm wide angle zoom.

GF1 Firmware Hack Videos

I’ve been reading a lot recently about firmware hacks for the GH1 and GF1 Panasonic cameras and some of the results are pretty spectacular to say the least. Others are saying some settings are unstable but people are still pulling out little pieces of magic from the firmware and camera. Going on the videos below I think it might be time to experiment with my GF1.

There is a great tutorial on applying the hack on DVXUser.com.

Back and Forth and Hope performed at the Scottish Refugee Week 2010 and they were absolutely fantastic.

Red Cross Comedy Night

The Red Cross comedy night took place on Friday evening at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow as part of Scottish Refugee Week. Kevin Bridges was the headline act and a good evening was had by all.

Oxfam Media Awards Winners

I was at the Oxfam Refugee Week Media Awards 2010 last night. The awards were held at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow’s Merchant City.

The winners and runners-up each received a Rankin print from his recent project in Africa.
