It’s almost 11.30 pm, so not really that late, but it seems like i’ve been sitting here for hours on end, much longer than I actually have, trying to get the blog site rolling again. Spurred on by some chump junior web developer ripping off my own work as his I’ve decided to do an all nighter until the job is complete and get the site live over the weekend.

One of the things that’s been taking up a lot of my time is configuring my local install of PHP so that the site will behave the way it will on the live server. I’ve always trusted MAMP and LAMP as well as other installs of PHP development environments to help me with developing locally before launching publicly but tonight I’ve been tearing my hair out. Wordpress plugins have also been cause of my rapidly receding hair line. Inexplicably one of my plugins stopped working on my install and I had to reinstall Wordpress and import all the previous content as well as remodify some templates to take into account the rejigged category ID’s. Nightmare. Well now that I can see light at the end of the tunnel I think it’s OK for me to go and make something to eat and I think I deserve the steak that’s been waiting for me all evening patiently in the fridge. Oh yes.
