The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Greatest Game Ever
Sunday, July 8th, 2007An EDGE magazine poll has revealed the N64 game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as being the greatest game of all time and rightly so. I remember picking this game up on launch day at 7.30am so that I could guarantee I could get my hands on a copy before the mad rush and I wasn’t disappointed. The game is 10 years old but even now some parts of it still have me staring in awe. Watching the sunset and sun rises in Hirule while sitting on my trusty steed, ah the memories. The boss battles were pretty much all perfect and the story line was fantastic.
The characters were adorable and the character development was excellent. I don’t know about anyone else but when I played this game I genuinely began to care for Link. It sound incredibly sad but it’s true. I can’t really think of many other games where you can begin to bond with your character to such an extent.
I’ve never really been a keen RPG/Adventure gamer but Zelda is probably the only game of that type that I’ve played right though to completion.
